With a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University and licensure in Texas since 1996, Beverly Walsh has built her practice across a range of demanding settings — community mental health, therapeutic foster care, juvenile probation, and inpatient substance abuse treatment for teens — before establishing herself in private practice. That breadth of experience shapes how Dr. Bev approaches every client: with a grounded, holistic perspective that takes the whole person into account.
She works with children, teenagers, young adults, and women navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, family conflict, and relationship difficulties. For clients who find themselves constantly pulled away mid-task — unable to finish a thought before something else competes for their attention — Dr. Bev’s work on emotional regulation and focus offers a concrete path back to steadiness. Sessions are available online as well as in person.
A defining feature of Dr. Bev’s practice is Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, offered at Brookside Ranch south of Houston. Certified through EAGALA and trained in Natural Lifemanship, she facilitates sessions where horses serve as honest, nonjudgmental mirrors for how people show up in relationships — and what it takes to change.
