After years working as a wellness coach at the University of Arkansas while completing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Cierra Denton built her practice around one consistent conviction: that real change grows out of genuine human relationship. That foundation carried through work with college students, parents, recent graduates, adolescents, and members of the LGBTQ+ community — a range of people and stories that deepened her belief that curiosity and compassion, not clinical distance, are what actually move things forward.
Now based in Fort Collins, Colorado, Cierra works with teenagers, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, grief, identity, body image, life transitions, relationship dynamics, and the particular exhaustion of carrying worry into every corner of daily life — including the 11 p.m. phone-check that somehow makes everything louder. She draws from Relational-Cultural Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy, shaping each session around the specific person in the room rather than a fixed protocol.
Cierra’s approach is collaborative by design. She brings empathy, a grounded sense of humor, and a genuine interest in each person’s life — what they love, what they’re carrying, and where they want to go. Online sessions are available.
