Cindy Hoerig

Understand the pattern, then change it — for good.

About Me

Most people contact Cindy Hoerig when something has finally pushed them past the point of managing on their own — a relationship fracturing under the weight of unspoken resentment, a teenager whose choices have become genuinely frightening, or a quiet despair that has settled in so gradually it feels like personality. She works with adults, adolescents, couples, and families navigating depression, anxiety, addiction, low self-esteem, anger, co-dependence, infidelity, divorce, and the particular loneliness of living with a chronic illness or a bipolar diagnosis.

Cindy’s own path into counseling grew out of her family’s experience with a child’s extended illness — which means she brings something beyond clinical training to the room: she knows what it costs a family to hold together under prolonged strain. That grounding shapes how she works, listening carefully to what a person has actually been through before helping them trace the patterns that keep the life they want just out of reach. She notices, too, how ordinary friction has migrated onto screens — arguments that begin and end over text, a couple sitting together but absent from each other.

A Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia and a National Board Certified Counselor, Cindy holds a B.S. from Georgia Tech and an M.S. in Community Counseling from the University of North Georgia. She offers online sessions and a complimentary phone consultation.
