Farrel Greenspan

Awareness of thought and behaviour opens the path forward.

About Me

People carrying depression, anxiety, addiction, PTSD, ADHD, or bipolar disorder — across adolescence, adulthood, and into later life — are at the centre of Farrel Greenspan’s practice. As a Registered Psychologist based in Edmonton, Alberta, Greenspan works with individuals and groups navigating mood disorders, trauma, personality disorders, abuse recovery, and workplace burnout, and offers online sessions for those who need flexibility in how they access care.

His clinical foundation rests on the relationship between thought and behaviour: that when people develop clearer awareness of their own mental patterns, they gain real traction in addressing what’s holding them back. That belief shapes both his individual counselling and his group therapy work, which has included structured workshops for PTSD and ADHD. He also brings formal experience in psychological testing and assessment, DSM-V diagnosis, crisis intervention, and EAP and EFAP contexts. For clients whose sleep and recovery are fragmented by the pull of constant notifications and late-night scrolling, that cognitive awareness becomes especially practical — rest isn’t incidental to mental health, it’s part of the treatment.

Greenspan holds a Master’s degree in counselling psychology from City University and two Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Organizational Studies. His earlier research at the University of Alberta contributed to the design and evaluation of treatment programming for children who have experienced sexual abuse.
