Real change, Janice Graham believes, begins when a person understands not just what is troubling them but why — tracing the roots of unhappiness rather than treating its surface symptoms. Working from Victoria, British Columbia, she brings a wide range of counselling methods to that task, including psychotherapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, art therapy, and Traumatic Incident Reduction, always adapting her approach to the particular person in front of her. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Counselling Psychology, a Masters of Theological Studies, and certification in palliative care and bereavement, and she practises under the ethical codes of both the BCACC and OACCPP.
Janice works with teenagers, young adults, men, women, and older adults navigating a wide range of concerns — among them trauma and abuse recovery, anxiety, mood disorders, addiction, relationship and family difficulties, grief, spiritual questions, and workplace challenges. She also supports clients who find that the pull of compulsive scrolling or gaming has quietly crowded out the sustained attention their own goals require.
Clients consistently describe her as approachable and easy to talk with. Her aim is straightforward: help each person identify their own strengths, make sense of their experiences, and take deliberate steps toward a life that fits them better. Sessions are available online.
