Michelle Hodgson believes that every person carries more capacity than they currently see in themselves, and that the work of therapy is helping them find it. A Registered Social Worker based in Burlington, Ontario, she brings over five years of clinical experience across hospital, non-profit, and private practice settings to her work with individuals, couples, and families navigating some of life’s more difficult passages — from family conflict and infidelity to professional burnout, child abuse, and the particular weight of medical anxiety.
Her practice is grounded in a strengths-based, client-centred framework, woven through with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed care. She works without judgment, with a deliberate attention to culture and identity, and with the understanding that healing looks different for every person. She’s equally comfortable sitting with a teenager who has gone quiet, a couple whose arguments now live mostly in text threads, or a parent trying to hold a family together through a separation.
Michelle holds a Master of Social Work from King’s University College at Western University and is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She offers online sessions and continues to invest in professional development as a regular part of her practice.
