What clients walk away with, after working with Samantha Schumann, is something they often couldn’t name when they first arrived: a clearer sense of who they actually are beneath the noise. Whether that noise comes from a family that never quite heard them, a culture full of competing expectations, or a teenage daughter who can’t put her phone down long enough to have a real conversation — Samantha helps people get back inside their own lives instead of watching from the outside.
She works with individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan — children, teens, adults, and the elderly — navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, family conflict, parenting, and the slow work of rebuilding trust in relationships. Her practice draws on Brainspotting, Narrative Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Mindfulness, combining body-based and meaning-making approaches to reach what talk therapy alone often can’t.
Samantha practices in Los Angeles and offers online sessions. She holds an MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles, a BA in Psychology from Sonoma State University, and is trained in Brainspotting Phases 1 and 2. Sessions are private pay; superbills are available for out-of-network insurance.
