Sharolyn Sloat

Insight matters — but only if it leads somewhere real.

About Me

Sharolyn Sloat holds that insight without action is a dead end — that the real work begins when understanding becomes change you can actually live. A Registered Psychologist based in Victoria, British Columbia, she brings more than twenty years of counselling experience to individuals, couples, and groups navigating everything from relationship strain and career crossroads to addiction, mood disorders, and the slow grind of professional burnout.

Her approach is client-centred and deliberately practical. She works with people who feel stuck in their own patterns — those who know what they want but can’t quite reach it — helping them name their needs clearly, set boundaries that hold, and move toward decisions that fit their real lives. That same clarity matters when anxiety hitches a ride on a phone that never quite goes quiet, turning ordinary evenings into something harder to shake.

Sharolyn tailors her methods to each person rather than fitting clients into a single model, and draws on additional training in career counselling and human performance to support life transitions of all kinds. Sessions are available in person at her West Bay Marina office in Victoria and online across British Columbia.
