Clients leave Sheila Clements’s practice with something concrete: a clearer sense of what has been holding them back and a set of real strengths to build on. That outcome-oriented focus is the throughline of her work as a Registered Clinical Social Worker, whether she is guiding someone through individual counselling, supporting a couple, facilitating a group, or helping a professional navigate burnout and career change.
Sheila works with children, teenagers, adults, and older adults facing a wide range of challenges — including anxiety, trauma, addiction, mood disorders, and the aftermath of abuse. Rooted in fifteen years of clinical experience, her approach draws on a substantial toolkit: CBT, DBT, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Gottman Relational Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Sandplay, among others. This breadth reflects time spent in hospital and psychiatric settings with Interior Health Authority, in residential addiction care with youth, and in private practice focused on attachment and complex trauma.
Based in Kaleden in British Columbia’s South Okanagan, Sheila also offers sessions online. Her practice is guided by genuine curiosity about how the brain shapes behaviour — an interest that extends into her personal life through yoga teaching, reading, and a long-standing commitment to continuous learning. Sessions are collaborative by design, and the work is shaped around each person’s particular needs.
