Susan Healey holds a particular conviction: that change does not begin with a technique but with being truly heard. A Canadian Certified Counsellor based in Saskatoon with thirty years of practice, she works from the understanding that when someone’s story is received without judgment, the conditions for healing already begin to shift. She sees this in the nervous systems of clients who arrive depleted from carrying pain in silence — and equally in those whose minds have had no stillness, no relief from the relentless incoming of notifications, demands, and digital noise that keeps the body locked in a state of alert.
Adults, adolescents, and families come to Susan navigating depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, addiction, relationship breakdown, eating concerns, career transitions, and the aftermath of abuse. She draws on an integrated framework — CBT, DBT, solution-focused, narrative, and somatic approaches — alongside Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method for couples and families. She is also a certified hypnotherapist, and uses hypnotherapy to accelerate progress in areas including anxiety, sleep difficulties, self-esteem, and trauma recovery.
Susan offers sliding-scale fees for those without insurance coverage and is a recognized provider for First Nations, Inuit, Métis Nation, and Victim Services programs. Sessions are available online.
