Theresa McGregor

With a master’s degree in counseling and two decades of licensed practice, Theresa McGregor brings both professional depth and personal understanding to her work in Winter Garden, Florida. Her earlier years in youth ministry shaped a genuine attentiveness to people’s emotional lives — an attentiveness she has carried into every corner of her counseling practice since. Growing up in a family touched by addiction gave her firsthand insight into the kind of pain that lives beneath the surface, and that experience informs how she works: not just managing symptoms, but tracing them to their roots.

Theresa works with individuals, couples, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, abuse recovery, addiction, and the strains that test marriages and families over time. She recognizes that compulsive patterns don’t stay in one lane — the same reward loops that drive substance use can just as easily pull someone into hours of scrolling or online gambling — and she addresses those dynamics with the same root-cause approach she applies across her practice. For clients with a faith foundation, she can weave that into the work as well.

Telehealth sessions are available over a private Zoom line to clients throughout Florida. An initial phone consultation is free, and scholarships exist for those who need financial support to get started.
