Most people contact Anna Zhang when the weight they’ve been carrying quietly becomes too heavy to keep managing alone β after trauma, a painful relationship, or a loss that has left them feeling unsteady, shut down, or constantly braced for the next thing. Some arrive exhausted by the version of themselves they’ve been performing for everyone else, while something much harder churns underneath.
Anna is a Registered Psychotherapist based in North York, Ontario, working with adults through trauma and PTSD symptoms, anxiety, grief, relationship and attachment wounds, and major life transitions. She also works with immigrant and cross-cultural adults wrestling with identity and belonging. For many clients, the strain shows up in concrete, daily ways β lying awake replaying a work conversation, unable to stop checking messages even when the day is technically over, the boundary between professional pressure and personal life dissolved entirely.
Her approach is relational, body-aware, and trauma-informed, drawing on Gestalt Therapy, Developmental Somatic Psychotherapy, and Somatic Experiencing. Rather than working from the outside in β changing thoughts or behavior first β Anna attends to what is happening in the nervous system and between people in the room. Sessions are available online across Ontario.
