Starting therapy can bring up a mix of things at once — apprehension, relief, uncertainty about what you’ll find. All of that is normal. My role is to provide an environment where you can move through whatever comes up without judgment, at a pace that’s actually yours.
You are the expert of your own life. What I offer is a collaborative process where we work to uncover the strengths you already carry and find ways to put them to use — in service of fulfilment, growth, and the changes you’re ready for.
As a cisgender, first-generation immigrant of African-Caribbean descent born in Canada, I understand the particular complexity of navigating multiple cultural identities — the intergenerational threads that run through how we understand ourselves, and how cultural expectation can both anchor and constrain. I welcome open conversation about these realities and the ways they’ve shaped your development.
My sessions tend to be client-led by design. You narrate your own experience; I follow that lead with genuine attention and care. My work is conducted under clinical supervision.
