A background spanning individual counseling, coaching, and crisis work shapes how Cody Watts meets people where they are. Trained at Naropa University in mindfulness-based transpersonal counseling, he also holds credentials as an Associate Credentialed Life Coach through the International Coaching Federation and as a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Instructor — having studied under meditation teacher David Nichtern and earned certification through Dharma Moon and Tibet House. That range of training informs a practice that is both clinically grounded and oriented toward the whole person.
Cody works with children, teenagers, adults, and elderly individuals across a wide range of concerns: anxiety, mood and depressive disorders, trauma and abuse recovery, career transitions, and addictive patterns — including the pull of gaming or compulsive scrolling, where the same reward loops that drive other addictions find new footing. He holds a firm belief that the capacity for healing already exists within each person, and that the counselor’s role is to help uncover what makes that healing possible and lasting.
Based in Loveland, Colorado, Cody sees clients in person as part of the team at Foundations Counseling and also offers online sessions. His approach is holistic and personalized, drawing on mindfulness practice, clinical training, and a deep commitment to walking alongside people through whatever they are facing.
