Adults, couples, families, and children navigating anxiety, addiction, trauma, grief, career transitions, and the full complexity of human struggle are at the center of Dana Spada’s clinical work. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Colts Neck, New Jersey, Dana traces her draw to this profession back to a question she first asked herself in middle school: why do people do what they do? That curiosity never left her, and today it animates a practice she describes with genuine gratitude and love.
Dana holds a master’s degree in social work from SUNY Stony Brook and a Ph.D. in Social Work from Adelphi University. She trained in gestalt psychotherapy at the Gestalt Institute of Long Island and is a certified alcoholism and substance abuse counselor. Her doctoral dissertation focused on women and leadership, an area of knowledge she continues to bring to career and vocational work. Her clinical approach weaves together gestalt, psychodynamic, humanistic, cognitive behavioral, and motivational interviewing methods.
Dana’s practice philosophy is grounded in holistic, evidence-based care that honors each person’s values and aspirations. She works with individuals, couples, and families β in person in Colts Neck and through online sessions β holding the kind of thoughtful, unhurried attention that helps people move toward clarity and their fullest potential.
