The moment most people contact Eleanor Reiter, something has already pushed them to their limit — a relationship fracturing under the weight of repeated conflict, anxiety that won’t quiet down, or the slow ache of feeling disconnected from the people they love most. Eleanor works with teenagers, adults, couples, and families navigating exactly these kinds of turning points, helping them understand what is driving their struggles and build strategies that hold up over time.
Her clinical background is unusually thorough for couples and family work. She has completed all three levels of Gottman Method Couples Therapy and serves as a Gottman Leader for the Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work program. Her training also includes Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Bader-Pearson Developmental Model, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Family Systems approaches, among others. She is a National Certified Counselor, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. She is currently completing doctoral studies in Marriage and Family Therapy at Amridge University.
Eleanor’s sessions are tailored to the individual — no two people arrive with the same story, and she takes that seriously. She brings warmth and directness to her work, creating space where clients can speak candidly and receive the kind of care and guidance that moves things forward. Online sessions are available.
