Francesca Wehr

When your story finally gets heard clearly, patterns start to shift.

About Me

Francesca Wehr’s work starts from a simple premise: most people who come to therapy aren’t broken — they’re carrying something they haven’t yet been able to name. Wehr, an LCSW based in Hoboken, New Jersey, draws on EMDR, Brainspotting, CBT, DBT, somatic approaches, the Gottman Method, and Imago Relationship Therapy, choosing whatever combination actually fits the person in front of her rather than defaulting to a single framework.

She works with individuals and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship stress, addiction, and abuse recovery — including people whose distress shows up in ways they don’t immediately recognize as symptoms, like the restlessness that follows them to bed or the dread that opens with every new notification. Adolescents and young adults, men, women, and older adults all find their way to her practice, as do couples stuck in the same recurring conflict.

Beyond her clinical role, Wehr brings perspective as both a certified Nurtured Heart Parent Coach and a New Jersey School Social Worker, giving her particular depth with family dynamics and how early experience shapes adult life. Most sessions are held online; Hoboken-area clients can also opt for walk-and-talk sessions outdoors. A free 15-minute consultation is available to anyone exploring whether working together makes sense.
