From young children taking their first steps into therapy to adults navigating trauma, grief, or the slow grind of a job that never quite lets go at the end of the day, Linda York meets people where they are. Her Kingsville-based practice welcomes a wide range of clients — including individuals with special needs, elderly persons, and families in crisis — offering counselling and psychotherapy grounded in respect for each person’s strengths and lived experience.
Linda works across a broad landscape of challenges: addiction and abuse recovery, anxiety and mood disorders, eating and sleep disorders, relationship difficulties, and career transitions, among others. Treatment plans are built around the individual rather than the other way around, drawing on an integrative toolkit that includes EMDR, Brainspotting, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness-Based CBT, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, Expressive Art Therapy, and TRE. She also brings a focused specialization in sports performance and sports trauma, with particular experience in hockey.
Sessions are available in person in the Essex County area and online for those who need flexibility. Linda accepts insurance coverage and is a registered provider for Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) and the Residential Schools Resolution Health Support Program (IRS RHSP).
