Lisa Schlosser

Carrying something heavy deserves more than coping strategies.

About Me

When people finally pick up the phone to call, they’ve usually been carrying something heavy for a long time — a relationship stretched past its breaking point, a trauma that won’t stay in the past, or an anxiety that follows them from the morning alarm straight through to the last thing they check before sleep. Lisa Schlosser, Registered Psychologist, meets people at exactly that point, offering individual counseling, couples and family therapy, crisis intervention, and coaching for those navigating burnout, career transitions, and workplace strain.

Lisa holds a Master of Counselling in Counselling Psychology and is registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists. Her clinical approach draws on advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), including Early Trauma and Neglect protocols, as well as clinical hypnotherapy developed through ongoing consultation with clinician and author Michael Yapko. Her work with couples is informed by the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT), developed by Stan Tatkin. She holds active membership with the College of Alberta Psychologists, the Psychologists Association of Alberta, EMDR Canada, and the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.

Lisa works with men and women on concerns ranging from mood and anxiety disorders to abuse recovery, addiction, and eating disorders. She sees clients in Grande Prairie, Alberta, and offers online sessions.
