From the very first session, Marcellene Parsons-Chaulk works to make sure clients feel genuinely heard. A Registered Psychologist based in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, she builds her practice around warmth and respect — believing that before any real progress can happen, a person needs to feel that their concerns actually matter to the person sitting across from them.
Marcellene draws primarily on cognitive behavioural and solution-focused approaches, helping children, adults, couples, and families move through challenges including anxiety, mood difficulties, self-esteem, stress, relationship conflict, and the communication breakdowns that so often strain the people closest to us. She also offers psychoeducational and psychological assessments across a broad range — covering learning, intellectual functioning, career, and more — and is qualified to make diagnoses within the scope of her registration.
At the heart of her work is a conviction that every client already holds the capacity to overcome what they are facing. Her role, as she sees it, is to help them find it. Sessions are available both in person and online.
