Nyshia Johnson

You don't need fixing — you need someone who will actually listen.

About Me

Real change, Nyshia Johnson believes, begins the moment someone feels genuinely heard rather than evaluated. That conviction shapes everything about how she works — as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with two decades of practice, she brings a steady, non-judgmental presence to people who are carrying more than they expected to carry alone. She knows how easy it is to feel invisible even when your phone never stops buzzing, and how that particular loneliness — surrounded by contact but starved of real conversation — can quietly make everything harder.

Nyshia works with children, teenagers, adults, couples, and families across a wide range of concerns: anxiety and mood disorders, trauma and abuse recovery, relationship conflict, divorce and co-parenting, grief, burnout, and more. She draws on her training in DSM-5 diagnosis, crisis intervention, and group work to meet each person where they are — not to prescribe a direction, but to help them find their own.

Her practice is grounded in the understanding that faith and values matter to many of the people she sees, and she welcomes that as part of the work whenever a client wants it. Online sessions are available. A free 10-minute consultation is offered to start.
