Richard Laosa

With more than three decades of clinical work across Texas, Richard Laosa has built a practice grounded equally in scientific rigor and spiritual depth. He has worked as a clinician, researcher, and instructor, and that breadth shows in how he approaches the people who come to him — not as cases to be managed, but as whole persons navigating genuinely hard terrain.

Laosa works with men and women facing a wide range of concerns: trauma and abuse recovery, anxiety and mood disorders, marital and family conflict, crisis, and addiction. His current clinical focus draws on findings from brain research and quantum physics, woven together with contemplative spiritual practice into methods he describes as both practical and effective. When clients arrive exhausted and unable to quiet their minds — overstimulated by the constant pull of notifications and screens that follow them even into sleep — that dysregulation is something he addresses directly, as a clinical matter rather than a lifestyle complaint.

Laosa is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and is affiliated with the Guadalupe Valley Christian Counseling Center in Seguin, where he continues to serve his local community. He also offers sessions online.
