At the heart of Sarah Harris’s work is a conviction that emotional connection — to oneself and to the people who matter most — is both the wound and the medicine. The Kelowna-based Registered Clinical Counsellor works with individuals, couples, and families who feel stuck in patterns they can’t quite name: reactive, disconnected, or quietly worn down by the effort of holding everything together. That exhaustion is something she sees often in people whose workday never really ends — the notification that arrives at dinner, the work thread that hums in the background of a Sunday afternoon — and she brings the same emotionally focused lens to that kind of chronic depletion as she does to anxiety, depression, and strained relationships.
Sarah draws on Emotionally Focused Individual and Couples Therapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy, trauma-informed approaches, and Circle of Security Parenting to help clients better understand their emotional responses, rebuild closeness with partners and children, and develop a steadier, kinder relationship with themselves. Her approach is warm and non-judgmental, and she works at a pace that feels manageable rather than overwhelming.
Sarah holds a Master’s in Counselling from Gonzaga University and has thirteen years of clinical experience. She sees clients in person in Kelowna and online across British Columbia, and offers a complimentary consultation so new clients can find their footing before the work begins.
