With a private practice rooted in more than two decades of experience, Shelley Behr has built her work around a simple premise: people facing hard things deserve steady, non-judgmental support. Shelley holds a Master of Social Work and is a Registered Social Worker based in Richmond, British Columbia, working with individuals, couples, and families across a wide range of life circumstances.
She works with children, teenagers, adults, and older adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, relationship difficulties, separation and divorce, parenting conflicts, grief, eating disorders, addiction, anger, stress, and career or life transitions. Her counselling spans individual, couple, and family formats, and she also offers divorce coaching and child specialist services for families restructuring after separation.
Shelley’s approach is practical as well as compassionate — helping people understand what is driving their current struggles, strengthen communication, rebuild self-esteem, and develop co-parenting arrangements that reduce conflict and support children. Online sessions are available for those who prefer to meet remotely.
