Steve Jacobson

Your values are the map — your behavior has to match them.

About Me

With a background that spans multidisciplinary clinical teams, industrial consulting, and leadership development, Steve Jacobson brings an unusually grounded perspective to psychological practice in Regina, Saskatchewan. That combination of boardroom and therapy room has shaped a practitioner who is as comfortable helping someone navigate a career implosion as he is working through trauma with a survivor — and who understands, firsthand, how the pressure to always perform follows people far beyond the office, right into the quiet moments they were counting on for rest.

Steve works with teenagers, adults, couples, and families facing a wide range of concerns: abuse and trauma recovery, anxiety and mood disorders, relationship breakdown, burnout, and major life transitions. His preferred framework is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which holds that a genuinely good life is built not by eliminating pain but by moving toward it honestly, with values as the compass. He also draws on CBT and Cognitive Processing Therapy, particularly for clients who feel stuck in the aftermath of trauma.

What orients everything Steve does is a straightforward conviction: therapy should build real autonomy, not dependence. The work is complete when a client no longer needs it. Sessions are available both in person in Regina and online.
