Healing begins with feeling genuinely understood β and that conviction sits at the center of how Taryn Peterson works. A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Taryn brings an integrative, trauma-informed lens to each client, drawing on approaches like EMDR, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems, and Emotionally Focused Therapy to tailor care to the individual rather than the diagnosis. Her practice, Hope Haven Therapy, reflects a clinical philosophy rooted in empathy and evidence β two things she treats as inseparable.
Taryn works with teenagers, adults, couples, and families navigating some of life’s hardest terrain: trauma and abuse recovery, grief, anxiety, addiction, relationship breakdown, professional burnout, and the lasting weight of emotional wounds that can feel impossible to name. As an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, she brings both breadth of training and depth of personal understanding to the work β her own experience as a breast cancer survivor has shaped the compassion she extends to clients facing pain they didn’t choose.
Sessions are available in person in Mount Juliet and via telehealth for Tennessee residents. Taryn also offers one- and two-day therapy intensives for those seeking concentrated progress on trauma, grief, or major life transitions.
