When people arrive at a crossroads β caught between who they were and who they need to become β Dan McKinnon is the practitioner many turn to. Whether the precipitating event is a fraying relationship, a career that has stopped making sense, or a quieter crisis of meaning, his work begins with the conviction that the right questions matter more than ready-made answers. A Registered Psychologist based in Calgary, Alberta, he brings that same orientation to individuals, couples navigating separation, and business leaders whose professional lives have overtaken everything else.
Dan works with adults facing depression, anxiety, burnout, emotional abuse, and the kind of existential uncertainty that resists simple fixes. His therapeutic practice draws on Emotion-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Existential and Humanistic approaches, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, among others β selected and blended to fit the person, not a protocol. Sessions are available online.
Alongside his counselling practice, Dan consults with entrepreneurs, managers, and executives on organizational development, combining personal coaching with structured self-assessment to help leaders build more effective and fulfilling professional lives. He is a certified Spiral Dynamics Integral facilitator and a graduate of Dr. Martin Seligman’s Authentic Happiness Coaching Program.
