With thirty years of experience caring for people across vastly different life circumstances β from profound poverty to material prosperity, from personal trauma to hard-won hope β James Wagner brings a depth of perspective that few practitioners can match. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor based in Squamish, British Columbia, he works from a conviction that real healing happens relationally, in the space between two people willing to engage honestly and with curiosity.
James helps men, women, and older adults work through anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, relational conflict, and the kind of burnout that quietly hollows a person out. Couples and families find in him a guide for navigating the tensions that accumulate over time β including the small, corrosive moments like a phone picked up mid-conversation that signals something is more important than the person across the table.
His integrated approach draws on person-centred care, family systems, Internal Family Systems, and spiritual reflection, shaped in part by a Master of Divinity from Regent College. Whether sessions happen in person or online, James works collaboratively β meeting clients where they are, and moving with them from confusion toward clarity, and from desolation toward something more whole.
