I work from the conviction that every person carries genuine strengths, and that even situations that look intractable usually contain possibilities that aren’t yet visible. Over the years I’ve worked with hundreds of individuals, couples, and families, and that belief hasn’t wavered.
My approach is relational — which means I pay close attention to the context surrounding each person: the relationships, histories, and systems that shape how we experience ourselves and others. I don’t see clients as broken. I see people with stories and with resources, navigating circumstances that have sometimes exceeded those resources.
I offer a calm, non-judgmental space for exploring what’s underneath the surface — the emotions and patterns that keep producing difficulty — while also working practically, using strength-based and solution-focused methods to develop concrete strategies for moving forward. That combination is particularly useful when someone has been stuck for a long time and needs both insight and traction.
I work with individuals, couples, and families, and I’m happy to speak with you by phone or email if you have questions before deciding. If I’m not the right fit, I’ll do what I can to help you find someone who is.
