Walking into a first session with Laura Mindell, clients often find something unexpected: a conversation that feels less like an intake and more like the beginning of a genuine partnership. Laura, a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Farmington Hills, Michigan, works from the belief that women carry within them an innate capacity for fulfillment — and that when life knocks that sense of balance loose, it can be restored. Her approach is holistic, attending to mind, body, and spirit as inseparable parts of the same person.
She supports women, teenagers, young adults, and older adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, adjustment to major life changes, emotional abuse, burnout, and the particular strains of family life — divorce, conflict between generations, infidelity, and the slow erosion that happens when communication between people who love each other breaks down. That erosion shows up quietly, too, in the women she works with who spend hours each day in constant contact with others yet end the evening feeling entirely unseen.
Laura trained at the University of Michigan and Oakland University, where she earned her Master’s in Counseling. She holds memberships in the American Counseling Association and Chi Sigma Iota, and offers both in-person and online sessions. Her aim, consistently, is to help clients move from feeling depleted to feeling revitalized — not as a distant goal, but as something they can begin reaching toward now.
