There are times when we lose the thread — when the connection to ourselves or to the people we care about feels frayed without any obvious explanation. Emotions pull in conflicting directions, or go flat altogether. The feeling of being alone with it all can be surprisingly acute even when we are surrounded by others.
I think our feelings carry information, even when they are confusing. The answers we need are usually present within us, but accessing them takes a particular kind of company: someone who will stay alongside you without rushing toward conclusions. My own path has taken many turns — immigrating to Canada, working in mathematics, living abroad, finding my way through the arts — and those experiences inform how I understand the winding routes people take toward meaning and change.
My style is relational, drawing on somatic techniques from Hakomi. We attend to the body and the present moment as much as the story. I work with individuals and couples, and I am trained in Relational Life Therapy.
If something in this resonates, I’d welcome hearing your story.
