Robyn Jackman

Therapy with intention, built around progress that actually holds.

About Me

With graduate-level training in social work and post-graduate study in CBT, ACT, EMDR, and DBT, Robyn Jackman brings both clinical depth and practical grounding to her work as the founder of Intentional Outcomes Counselling in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her academic foundation spans psychology and social work through to a Master of Social Work, and that layered preparation shapes how she approaches every client — not with a fixed formula, but with a deliberate effort to understand what each person actually needs.

Robyn works with individuals, couples, and families moving through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship breakdown, and the aftermath of domestic violence. She also supports people navigating the quieter but real pressures of daily life — a teenager trying to hold it together when the group chat never stops, or a family that keeps missing each other even when they’re in the same room.

The philosophy behind the work is straightforward: insight matters, but only when paired with skills a person can use outside the session. Progress is measured not by the absence of difficulty but by a client’s growing ability to move through it. Online sessions are available.
