About Me

I’m glad you’re here. If you’ve been wanting things to be different but keep finding yourself stuck in the same place, that gap between knowing and changing is one of the most common and most frustrating human experiences — and it’s exactly the kind of thing therapy can actually address.

My approach as a therapist is relational and grounded in the present moment. I don’t see my role as locating and correcting a problem. I see it as helping you develop a clearer understanding of yourself — where certain patterns came from, what they’ve been protecting, and how to engage with them differently. I’m committed to meeting you where you are rather than where I think you should be.

Growing up in a mixed-race household and spending years working in crisis response and trauma recovery programs have shaped how I understand experience: the way race, culture, gender, class, family, and sexuality work on individuals in ways that are both structural and deeply personal. My work is anti-racist, anti-oppressive, culturally responsive, and 2SLGBTQIIA+ affirming — not as a stated position but as something you’ll encounter in how sessions actually go.

Therapeutically, I draw on Emotionally Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed Psychotherapy, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and somatic techniques. I work with trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment, relationship concerns, identity, life transitions, and grief.

Outside the clinic I find meaning in slowing down in nature, rock climbing, Korean cooking, live music, and community work in social justice. Those things inform my understanding of what rest and genuine connection look like — which matters for the work we do together.

I offer flexible scheduling with in-person options in Vaughan and Markham, and virtual sessions throughout the province. A free 15 to 25-minute phone consultation is available if you’d like to get a sense of whether we’d work well together. I look forward to hearing from you.
