Adam Thorne is a Provisionally Licensed Clinical Counselor based in Bozeman, Montana and the founder of Forge Mental Health Therapy. He works with men, teenagers, and individuals navigating anxiety, identity challenges, relationship struggles, and major life transitions.
Adam’s approach is direct, grounded, and focused on real-world change. He integrates evidence-based modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), somatic approaches, and principles from Reality Therapy to help clients better understand their emotions, regulate their nervous system, and take meaningful action in their lives. His work centers on building self-awareness, accountability, and resilience—without overcomplicating the process.
Before becoming a therapist, Adam spent years as an entrepreneur, podcast host, and stand-up comedian. These experiences shaped his ability to connect with people, communicate clearly, and bring both honesty and perspective into difficult conversations. He also draws from his background as an avid martial artist and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, valuing discipline, humility, and consistent effort—principles he carries into his work with clients.
Adam has extensive experience working with men in group settings and is particularly passionate about helping men reconnect with themselves, improve relationships, and develop a stronger sense of direction and identity. He creates an environment that is both supportive and honest—where clients can explore challenges without judgment while being encouraged to grow.
Through Forge Mental Health Therapy, Adam’s mission is to make therapy more accessible, practical, and impactful for those ready to do the work and build a better life.
