Sahil Kaushal

About Me

My name is Sahil. I’m a Master of Social Work student with a background in psychology, and I work with a deep awareness of how identity — culture, race, belonging, neurodivergence, sexuality — shapes a person’s experience and their relationship with their own mental health.

As a first-generation immigrant and neuroqueer individual, this isn’t abstract for me. I understand the particular tension of navigating multiple contexts and expectations, and how much it can cost to feel like you can’t fully belong anywhere. My practice is especially focused on supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, newcomers, and immigrants.

Sessions are collaborative and move at your pace. I’m not here to direct you toward a predetermined outcome. I’m here to listen carefully, acknowledge where you actually are, and work with you toward whatever goals feel most genuine and meaningful to you. I believe that healing comes from curiosity, authentic connection, and the kind of respect that doesn’t require you to explain yourself before you feel seen.

I also work with an awareness that my practice takes place on the traditional lands of Indigenous Peoples, and I bring that awareness into how I approach listening, learning, and care.

If this sounds like what you’re looking for, I’d welcome the chance to connect.
